No. Any modern smartphone with NFC (iPhone 7+ or Android with NFC) can read the chip by tapping the phone to the certificate. The verification page opens automatically in the browser. Every certificate also has a QR code for phones without NFC.
We use NXP semiconductor chips — the same manufacturer that produces chips for passports, contactless bank cards, and access control systems. Each chip has a unique cryptographic signature that cannot be cloned.
No. A photocopy won't contain the NFC chip. A cloned chip won't produce a matching cryptographic signature. And the blockchain record (Soulbound Token) cannot be forged, duplicated, or transferred. All three layers must match for verification to succeed.
